"One person won't make a difference anyways" is what we all hear from different people, from time to time.
But is that really the case?
Lets find out in our new project starting in June 2022.
"EVERY DAY IS EARTH DAY"
Think Globally - Act Locally
Queens Raising Awareness for Bees and other Pollinators is a project which we want to bring to life in this Spring 2022, as its the perfect time to prepare our gardens and plant some seeds!
We want to promote the idea that all of us can plant native plants in our yards, on our balconies and neighborhoods to support birds, bees, butterflies, amphibians and other pollinators.
Our motto for this Project is
"Think Globally - Act Locally!".
DOES MY HOME GARDEN OR PARK REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
SHORT ANSWER: YES!
"Does my home garden or nearby park really make a difference?"
The short answer is yes!
It is very easy to assume that wildlife is only found in wild and distant areas separate from people. And while those wild areas are critically important to many wildlife species (and the health of the planet) there are MANY species that can happily coexist alongside humans if we only make sure they have habitat within what we can call the "human dominated landscape" whether it be rural, suburban or urban.
It all starts with us people making sure there is a healthy native plant community which supports our pollinators in their habitats.
#QueensRaisingAwareness for #Bees and other #Pollinators is a project which we want to bring to life in this April, as its the perfect time to prepare our gardens and plant some seeds!
We want to promote the idea that all of us can plant native plants in our yards, on our balconies and neighborhoods to support birds, bees, butterflies, amphibians and other pollinators.
Our motto for this #Project is "Think Globally - Act Locally!".
And let's be honest! Planting a pollinator friendly garden to support pollinators is the PERFECT way to live the idea of said motto. π
More to be coming soon!
QUEENS RAISING AWARENESS.
THINK GLOBALLY ACT LOCALLY
#THINKGLOBALLYACTLOCALLY
is a new Queens Raising Awareness Project dedicated to #Pollinators all around the world.
We aim to raise #awareness and contribute positively to our local environment and our very own local pollinators by planting flowers and especially spreading wild flower seeds on our balconies, gardens, yards, parks or even flowerpots.
Life usually tends to try to work like a seesaw. And it turns out, filling our gardens with flowers isnβt just a pretty pastime. Planting wildflowers helps to bring new life to the local ecosystem and can create huge benefits for our pollinators by providing fresh pollen and nectar.
The goal is to plant local wildflower seeds that which will bloom for a long time and are easy for bees and butterflies to forage for nectar and powder.
It is time to take action today. πΈ
Join us on planting wild flower seeds, so we can see and restore an abundance of beauty in our very own cities across the world!ππ¦π
Feel free to take part of our little challenge and tell us how it went!
Yours truly!
QUEENS RAISING AWARENESS.
Bees & Pollinator Friendly Plants
Watching bees busily bumbling around among the flowers of a plant that you grew just for them is one of the most affirming, joyous experiences in the life of a gardener. π
Being aware, that not just pollinators have to benefit from your garden but also you, make this experience even better! At the one hand we already know that pollinator friendly herbs provide us with beautiful neon and unique flowers, edible berries and edibleness in general. So planting #herbs also means, that you'll get a free and organic crop of herbs that can be used for cooking, tea, and more. πΎπ±
What we love about herbs is them being usually easily accessible by already buying adult plants in supermarkets or other stores, but also easy them being easily maintainable plants!
Let's list a few herbal plants which pollinators and you can benefit off well:
β’ #Basil
Basil is an easy-to-grow plant with beautiful white flowers and a sweet, mild flavor that pairs well with salads, grains, and even pesto. Its ease of care makes it ideal for the beginner gardener.
β’ #Peppermint
Peppermint may be one of the most beloved herbs in our kitchens. It tastes good, has a strong and fresh smell and has great healthy benefits. We love anything minty! Teas, Cocktails, Desserts!
β’ #Lavender
Lavender has mild antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Plant it in your garden for a fresh, comforting smell and later use it in your closet as a natural moth repellent.
β’ #Sage
Sage is known to relieve stress and anxiety and can be enjoyed throughout the day as a tea. Enjoy the benefits of this versatile tea today and every day by planting sage in your garden or flowerpot!
The world has so many different, beautiful and useful herbs! It would take a whole day to name them all! π These are some if our favourites. Did you already have some of these plants at home? Feel free to share it with us!
Yours truly,
Queens Raising Awareness!

Here with a beautiful native bird to #Germany! Our very own @JasminSelberg was starting the project to not only raise awareness for our worlds #pollinators but also to bring some life into her garden for summer. Now that almost a month is over, many different wildflowers started to grow bigger and bigger. Be sure to follow us to see this evolution! π
Have you planted some new plants into your garden? We'd love to see it!
Yours truly,

Everyone Starts Small..
What a difference 4 weeks can already make! From just being planted, the wildflower seeds have just started to grow and grow! By summer we will have beautiful flowers and buzzing bees! Noticing, that there is a bumble bee nest below the ground means, that we are ready to provide them with food and work by then. πππΎ
What do you think? Would you recognise this place? π
